La Grange, adjoins the owners home and is a renovated barn which provides large, well furnished, spacious accommodationfor 4 people in 2 bedrooms with the facility for 2 further guests in the living area on a comfy sofa bed. All bedlinen is supplied and extra pillows and blankets are available if required. Towels for use in the barn are provided, but please bring your own towels for days at the beach or at the swimming pool. Fresh bedlinen and towels will be supplied weekly for guests staying for more than 1 week. On the terrace, at the front, there is a barbecue, table and chairs with parasol and also loungers. |

A welcome pack is provided on arrival so that guests can land and relax immediately with a glass of wine or a cup of tea! Start day is usually Saturday, however should you want to stay a few days mid week on your journey further south or simply for a weekend please contact us as we are happy to be flexible where we can. Similarly if you are looking for a base to househunt in the area and would like a long or short term let, then please ask for availability and prices. The property will be ready for a 4pm check in and we ask that you leave by 10am on check out day, however we can be flexible where possible. We do not allow pets as we have a few of our own. Smoking is not allowed inside La Grange du Puits. |

Thank you so much for your hospitality, like last year we enjoyed ourselves very much. There are so many things to do in this beautiful area. The weather has been great, so we have visited several beaches and we especially prefer Plage des Vernes and Plage des Nonnes. We especially liked seeing the football match Netherlands v Uruguay with you at Moulins de la Vergne. Thank you very much for your most excellent welcome and helping us with advice on getting around the area and anything else we've needed during the course of our stay. It's rare to meet such friendly and warm hosts! The weather has been amazing here and we have had such a fantastic time overall. We really hope we will come back again in the future. As for the gite itself, it is superbly equipped and has been lovely for us to live in this past two weeks. Thank you for donating the use of your gite to Stars Gym Club raffle...............what a great prize to win. Thank you Paul and Kathy for all the pre-holiday information, your warm welcome to your lovely gites and guiding us to all the 'things to do; in the area. So much to do we will return!
We certainly recommend cycling on the Ile de Re, (through the nature reserve and forests), relaxing on the beach at 'La Grand Cote' and sightseeing in Bordeaux.
The gites are so well equipped, everything to meet adults and the childrens needs and the combination of both comfortable gites allows for holidaying with our parents - grandparents. Such a beautiful gite and wonderful location, can see why you both love it so much. Thank you for your hospitality and tour guiding. For the third time we spent some time in the barn! The weather was not so favourable; ony one afternoon we spent on the terrace......... Our granddughter, who lives in Saint Porchaire, stayed 5 days with us, she likes Gemozac too. Lovely welcome, really spacious gite in a wonderful part of France, our first visit to the Charente-Maritime. The holiday has just been wonderful. We've done a little of everything, relaxing on beautiful beaches, sightseeing, canoeing. The gite is great and it was super to see the before and after photos. There are lots of interesting places to visit and it has been a most enjoyable week. These guys are the best! The personal touches made all the difference - the stair gate was a godsend. Enjoyed our holiday in the Charente-Maritime. The kids loved the beaches and Youpi-Land at La Palmyre, close to the zoo. Great Barn, friendly and helpful hosts. Nice area and quiet as a base within easy reach of the beaches and other amenities. We have all enjoyed our time here, it's been the perfect home from home with soft duvets and towels. Having not been to the Charente before it has wildly exceeded our expectations. So many things to do & see. We came for a relaxing break and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Not only did we tour the attractions (slowly) but we took advantage of the large, Kathy and Paul have been exceptional hosts, never intrusive. Thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet of La Grange. A super 2 month stay, Kathy and Paul were delightful hosts, always helpful but never intrusive. We found everything as described.
